Toddl Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-16
These terms are also available in Hebrew. If you are a consumer in Israel and the English and Hebrew versions differ, the Hebrew version prevails; everywhere else, the English version prevails.
1. Acceptance
Toddl is operated by Noam Stolero, an individual ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using Toddl, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Who can use Toddl
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- You must be a parent, legal guardian, or authorized family member of any child whose content you capture
- One account per person
- Toddl is for adults. Children must not use the app themselves or have their own account; information about a child is entered by their parent or guardian.
3. Your content
You own the content you create (words, meanings, dialogues, photos, etc.). By using Toddl you grant us a limited license to store and display it back to you and to other members of your family group. We do not use your content to train models, for advertising, or for any purpose other than operating the service.
4. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use the service to harass, abuse, or exploit anyone
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes others' rights
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent security of the service
- Probe or scan the service
- Create accounts at scale, share accounts, or sell access
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. If we end your account while your family has Toddl Plus that you paid for, for any reason other than your breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the paid period for a Google Play subscription, and for an App Store subscription we help you request the refund from Apple. If we end it because you breached these terms, we give no refund except where the law requires one.
5. Family groups
- A family may have multiple members; each member sees content for the whole family
- The family creator is the default "owner"
- Adding a family member grants them full read/write access to that family's content
- Deleting your account does not automatically delete the family if other members remain; see Privacy Policy for specifics
6. Payments and subscriptions
6.1 Plans
Toddl has a free plan and a paid plan called Toddl Plus. The free plan has monthly limits on some features; saving words and milestones is free. Toddl Plus is an auto-renewing subscription that removes or raises those limits. Prices are shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play in your local currency, and are not repeated in these terms.
6.2 Auto-renewal and free trial
Toddl Plus renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly as you chose, at the plan's price, until you cancel. If a free trial or other introductory offer is shown, it converts to a paid subscription at the regular price when it ends unless you cancel before it ends. Before you subscribe, the paywall and the store's purchase screen show the plan, the billing period, the full renewal price and, for a trial, how long it lasts and the price you pay after it.
The store charges each renewal at or shortly before the start of the new period (Google Play may charge up to 48 hours before), so cancel at least two days before a trial or a period ends to be sure you are not charged for the next one. Each Apple ID is eligible for one introductory offer per subscription group, and Google Play applies its own eligibility rules.
You can cancel at any time, including after a trial or introductory period has ended, and we never charge a cancellation fee.
6.3 Price changes
If the price of Toddl Plus goes up, the new price applies to you only from a renewal after you have been told about it, never during a period you have already paid for. Apple and Google run their own notice and, where required, consent flow; where the store asks for your consent and you do not give it, the subscription does not renew at the new price. We also tell you in the app before the new price applies, with how to cancel.
6.4 Cancellation and refunds
Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us.
How to cancel:
- In the store: use your subscription settings in the App Store or Google Play. Cancelling there stops the next renewal, and Toddl Plus stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
- By email: send a cancellation notice to hello@toddl.family with your name and either your ID number or the email address of your Toddl account. For a Google Play subscription we cancel it for you. For an App Store subscription your email counts as your cancellation notice to us, and we reply with the steps to cancel in the App Store, because Apple does not let developers cancel App Store subscriptions; only you or Apple can stop the App Store renewal.
- If you are a consumer in Israel, you can also give the notice by phone or by registered mail, using the details in section 13.
Refunds:
- App Store: Apple decides refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds.
- Google Play: Google handles refund requests made within 48 hours of the purchase. After that, contact us, and we decide under this section and the law. We can refund Google Play purchases.
Your rights under consumer law: nothing in these terms limits a right to cancel or to get a refund that the consumer-protection law that applies to you gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement. If you are a consumer in Israel:
- You may cancel Toddl Plus within 14 days of the purchase, or of receiving these terms if that is later, even if Toddl Plus has already started. You get back what you paid, less the proportional price of the time you had Toddl Plus, and we charge no cancellation fee. For a Google Play purchase we refund you; for an App Store purchase, request the refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, because we cannot issue App Store refunds.
- For a Google Play subscription, if you ask us to end Toddl Plus now rather than at the end of the period, we end it within 3 business days of your notice and refund the unused part of the period you paid for. For an App Store subscription, cancel in the App Store and request any refund from Apple.
If Apple or Google refuses a refund that the law gives you, contact us and we will help you pursue it.
6.5 Family coverage
One Toddl Plus purchase covers every member of the buyer's family group. The person who buys it owns the store subscription and is the only person who can manage or cancel it in the store. Toddl Plus follows the buyer: if the buyer leaves or is removed from the family, the family returns to the free plan, and if the buyer then joins or creates another family, Toddl Plus covers that family for the rest of the subscription. Other family members get Toddl Plus through the buyer and pay nothing for it.
Deleting your Toddl account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play before you delete your account.
6.6 When Toddl Plus ends
When Toddl Plus ends, the free-plan limits apply again from the next capture. Nothing is deleted: the words and milestones you saved stay readable. Features that need Toddl Plus stop working until you subscribe again.
6.7 Founding offer
Families that exist on the launch cutoff date shown in the app receive a limited period of Toddl Plus free of charge, once per family. We take no payment details for it, it ends automatically on the date shown in the app, it has no cash value, it cannot be transferred, and it does not convert into a paid plan. We may end it early for a family that obtained it by abuse, such as creating families to collect extra free periods, after telling that family why. You can still subscribe later, and we try to avoid overlapping periods in the paywall.
6.8 Offer codes
Offer codes and promo codes issued through the App Store or Google Play are redeemed under that store's terms.
6.9 Apple terms
For the iOS app, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") applies unless we supply our own. The Standard EULA governs your licence to use the iOS app itself. These terms govern the Toddl service and Toddl Plus, including liability (section 10) and governing law (section 12), wherever you use them. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the Toddl service. Links to these terms and to our Privacy Policy will be shown in the paywall, in the app's settings and in the store listing.
7. Service availability
We work to keep Toddl available but cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties beyond those in these terms and those the law gives you that cannot be excluded. Toddl Plus gives you the features described in the app for the whole period you paid for.
We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we remove a Toddl Plus feature or end the service during a period you paid for, we tell you in advance and you can cancel; for a Google Play subscription we refund the unused part, and for an App Store subscription we help you request the refund from Apple.
8. Your data and deletion
You can ask us by email for a copy of your data (JSON), and you can delete your account at any time in the app's Settings. See our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
Toddl, the logo, designs, and code are owned by Noam Stolero. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid for Toddl Plus, to the App Store, Google Play or us, in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 100.
None of this limits or excludes our liability for death or bodily injury, for harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, or any liability that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded, including your rights as a consumer.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We tell you in the app at least 30 days before a material change takes effect, together with how to cancel Toddl Plus if you do not accept it. A change to the price or payment terms of Toddl Plus applies to an existing subscription only from the first renewal after that notice, never during a period you have already paid for; price increases also follow section 6.3. If you do not accept a change, you can cancel Toddl Plus and delete your account.
12. Governing law
If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live apply to you, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Nothing in these terms takes away the protection those laws give you. No dispute is subject to mandatory arbitration.
